HENRY and MUDGE in the Sparkle Days

HENRY and MUDGE love winter. They play in the snow, eat yummy holiday dinners, and sit by the warm fire. Come along and enjoy the sparkle days with these two best friends. 

Today, I read "HENRY and MUDGE". In this book, a boy and a dog are the main character. Always I think that stories of little children and dogs make people happy. Henry and his dog is also nice story. They are so cute!

In the scene, Christmas Eve dinner, Henry and his family eat dinner at home after they dressed up. In Japan, people don't dress up for Christmas dinner. I felt a difference between Japan and foreign countries.

My Hobby

Last Friday, I went to to the library, and borrowed a noble. Reading is one of my hobbies, so I read it during my weekends.

My hobbies are not only reading but also music, cooking, and movies! Especially, I like movies the most. I often watch movies at home because there is not a cinema near my house. During my summer vacation, I want to go a cinema in Hikarinomori, TOHO cinemas!

ESCAPE

"I'm not a thief. I'm an innocent man," shouts Brown. He is angry because he is in prison and the prison guards hate him. Then one day Brown has an idea. It is dangerous-very dangerous.

In the last scene, Brown can be next to escape, but he is caught by the prison guards. I think that the idea he has is so good and he is so wise!
Before, I have watched a television drama like this story. Four men try to escape from a prison. It made me so exciting!!

TAXI of TERROR

"How does it work?" Jack asks when he opens his present-a mobile phone. Later that night, Jack is a prisoner in a taxi in the empty streets of the dark city. He now tries his mobile phone for the first time. Can it save his life?

In this story, Jack gets a phone for the first time. When did you get a first phone?

I got my first phone when I was  fourteen years old. I was very happy and always played some games of the phone. But when I was sixteen years old, my mother canceled the contract of my phone for two years...
I forgot the first person who I called with my first phone. Probably, he or she is my friend. My first phone is in my parents house now, so I'll try to find it when I go home during summer vacation!

"Every day is the same. Nothing exciting ever happens to me," thinks Adam one boring Monday morning. But today is not the same.When he helps a beautiful young woman because some men want to take her bag, life gets exciting and very dangerous.

When I read this book, I remembered a movie, LIFE. In this book, Adam is bored every day. A main character of LIFE is similar. Though they can become hero in their dream, they can't do anything in real.
However Adam can get a chance and become a real hero in last scene, I think it's nice story!

STAR REPORTER

I got used to reading comic books in English, so I can enjoy this story!

In this story, I pity Steve for his unlucky. He hits his car on the wall, falls in water, spills orange juice on his jeans. But he can be close to a new girl by his unlucky things. In the last scene, they talk like best friends.
This story is so fun to read, so please try to read!

RANGO

A chameleon walked in the hot sun. Who was he?
The people of the desert town of Dirt don't have any water. Why doesn't the Mayor help his people? Rango the chameleon wants to know more...

Do you know the movie of Rango? I've never watched but known this character.
So today I read Rango first time.

Rango finds that the Mayor is bad because he behinds water without helping his people. He wants to have a new city which has a lot of water. But Rango, a hero, helps the people by beating the mayor!

Characters of this story were scare for me at first because they were lizards or snakes. But now I think that Rango is a brave hero!!

I visited LLC!!

Last Friday I visited LLC with Asahi.
There are a lot of movies, comedy, romance, science fiction and so on.
Not only movies, but there are also many text books of TOEIC or TOEFL and foreign magazines.

We watched two movies, (500)days of Summer and Letters to Juliet.
We had a good time!!

Carnival

Jake see a tall beautiful girl at the carnival in London.Their eyes meet and she smiles at him. It's love! How can he talk to this beautiful girl? And who is she?

Jake steals a camera from a tourist during the carnival to take a photo of the beautiful girl, called Maria. Of course, after took a photo of her, he was caught by a policeman called by the tourist. In the police station he showed the photo to the policeman. Suddenly the policeman called a policewoman. Do you know why?
The policewoman is... Maria! Jake met the beautiful girl again but it was police station. I felt sorry for him. If I were him, I cannot look at her face!

April in Moscow

April Fox is very excited when the dance company she works for is invited to visit Moscow. April has a very busy time there-dancing and seeing as much of the city as possible. She also gets to know a young man called Nikolai...

First, I like the pictures of this book. Their color is soft, and I like pastel color. Then, the last scene is also my favorite one. April met Nikolai in Moscow, and they liked each other. But April had to go back England. So Nikolai went after her and gave her a letter at Moscow airport. "Can I come and see you in England?" I think Nikolai is so nice!

SALLY'S PHONE

Sally is always running-and she has her phone with her all the time: at home, on the train, at work, at lunchtime, and at the shops.
But then one afternoon suddenly she has a different phone... and it chances her life.

She has a boyfriend,  and he is so selfishness. But she got a chance to break up with him by carrying a different phone. She took Paul's phone at a cafe, and they met again to return their phones. Paul is kind, so she really liked him. My favorite scene is that Sally turned down her selfishness boyfriend!

THE FIREBOY

Hapu lives in Ancient Egypt. He works for his father, a goldsmith. One day Hapu has a wonderful idea. He decides to make a beautiful gold necklace for Queen Cleopatra.

 Hapu makes a gold necklace for Cleopatra to help his sick father. Cleopatra likes him and let him come her palace. But he doesn't live in the palace because he has to help his father.  I think he is a kind and brave boy! If I were him, I couldn't refuse Cleopatra's offer. So I was moved his behavior.

HILL OF FIRE

Every day is the same for Pablo's father. Then one afternoon the ground grows, hisses smoke, and swallows up his plow. A volcano is erupting in the middle of his cornfield!

Today I read, I Can Read Book series, HILL OF FIRE. In this story, Pablo's father get bored everyday. But one day he finds a volcano and it distresses people in his village.Actually, I hope that something happy will happen. However I thought everyday is happy day after reading this story.

My weekend!

I took part in the Puklympics on Sunday, 14th May. It was so sunny and hot.
In the Puklympics, a lot of sport were held. For example, I entered four color tag, big rope jumping and tug of war.
I belonged to green team, and my team couldn't win. But I had a good time there!

Quick Thinking

Tyler and John are playing with their remote control cars in the park. Faye and David are on the beach. They see a man take a woman's bag and run to the park. How can they all help the woman?

 I think they are so sensible in emergency. They used their phone and cooperated in seconds. If I were in emergency, perhaps I couldn't come up with a good idea.
 My favorite scene is the last which they catch the thief.

Golden Week!

Hello, everyone! How was your Golden Week?
I spent most holidays in my house, and I was writing some reports and reading.
But I was not alone, my parents visited my house from Fukuoka.
For two days, we spent together, shopping or going to restaurant.
We enjoyed very much!!

We ate Okonomiyaki!!

On the last holiday, I went to Kumamoto City International Center to see traditional Kimono. I belong to Kimono Club in this university, so I got an opportunity like this. During that event, I tried on some expensive Kimono. They made me so nervous (if I get them dirty, they cost me about 500,000 yen!!).
